In 1956, Huang Xuemin was born in Nanwan Village,
Chenghai Shantou, Guangdong China. Due to poverty,
Huang received only one-year education in primary
school. |
In 1967, Huang became a little peddler, which cultivated
him to be a man with high consciousness in business.

In 1981, Huang initiated eel breeding with earthen
pond. |
In 1983, Huang established the “Min’s Fowl Farm”
(providing small chicken, duck and goose), which
later shaped Antaeus. Huang became to be engaged
in breeding aquatic products. |
In 1988, Huang developed an eel farm on tidal flat,
which covered an area of over 66 hectares. This
was a milestone of eel breeding in China. Huang
became the “King of Eel Breeding in China” accordingly.

In 1989, Huang was received by Wang Zhen the former
vice-chairman of the country. Wang praised that,
the eel breeding of Antaeus in tidal flat was a
pioneering work. Wang encouraged Huang to keep innovating.

In 1990, Huang established Hetai Company Limited.
In succession, the company developed a series of
products with ETCP (eel, turtle, crocodile, and
pearl), striving toward high technology and deep
processing in aquiculture. |
In
1992, Huang’s eel farm on tidal flat was successively
listed into the provincial and national Spark Program.

In 1993, Hetai was successively renamed as Chenghai
Antaeus Industrial Co., Ltd and Shantou Antaeus
(Group) Co., Ltd. |
In 1994, Huang Xuemin was successively evaluated
as one of the “Top 10 Outstanding Youths”, “Outstanding
Yong Enterprisers in Guangdong” and “Top 10 Private
Enterprisers in China”. In the same year, Antaeus
was renamed as Guangdong Antaeus Industrial Co.,
Ltd, ranking 7th among the 1st Top 100 Private Manufacturers
selected by national authorities concerned. |
In 1995, Antaeus ranked 20th among the Top 500 Private
Enterprisers selected by Chinese Enterprise Evaluation
Association affiliated to the State Administration
for Industry & Commerce. |
In 1996, Antaeus was promoted in a traditional way.
The investment was huge, but the effects were unsatisfactory.

In 1997, suffering from the counterfeit, Antaeus
strived and managed to find a brand-new market mode
that combined chain stores with network marketing
in line with national conditions and public feelings.
In the same year, Antaeus was renamed as Guangdong
Antaeus Chain Store Group Limited. It set up a branch
company in Guangzhou to take charge of distributing
top 5 serial products of the Group, including health
foods, food, cosmetics, crocodile wine, and crocodile
leather. Successively, Antaeus set up over 300 chain
stores in nearly 30 provinces, cities and autonomous
regions, shaping a huge marketing network. |
On June 26, 1998, the “Forum on Chainstore Marketing
of Guangdong Antaeus Group” was presided over by
“China Market” magazine in the News Tower of Xinhua
News Agency. The marketing mode of Antaeus had gained
high and wide recognition from national leaders
and experts in charge of product distribution and
chain stores. |
In 1999, Antaeus health products were evaluated
and recommended as “Trustworthy Products” by the
state departments concerned. In the same year, Antaeus
was evaluated by the Science & Technology Department
of Guangdong Province as a “High-Tech Private Enterprise”.

In 2000, our “Eel and Crocodile Biological Products”
was listed into the state “Torch Plan”. Our “Development
of Highly Value-Added Marine Health Foods” was listed
into the national Spark Program. Meanwhile, our
“Extraction of Antineoplastic Substances and New
Drug Development from Eels” was listed as a national
scientific and technological key task program. Antaeus
Marine Eel (eel oil blood-fat reducing pill) was
listed into the provincial and national New Product
Program. On June 21st, 2000, the “Application and
Promotion Conference for Antaeus Eel and Crocodile
Products” was successfully held in the Great Hall
of the People in Beijing by China Technology Market
Management & Promotion Centre. |
In 2001, Antaeus Group gained the Certificate of
Hi-Tech Enterprise; Antaeus Eel Oil Capsule was
listed into the New Product Program of Guangdong.

In 2002, Leon Turtle Pill was listed into the New
Product Program of Guangdong. |
In 2003, making the best of Antaeus chain stores
nationwide, Antaeus Group organized a series of
health lectures on “protecting ecological environment
in the body” for local communities. Moreover, Antaeus
staff utilized advanced quantum resonant detectors
to detect health conditions for Antaeus users and
promote the concept of “technical marketing”. |
In 2004, Antaeus developed an innovative marketing
mode that combined customers’ interests with Antaeus
closely to realize satisfying interaction. |
In 2005, the ETCP (eel, turtle, crocodile, and pearl)
products of Antaeus group were evaluated as “Famous
and Trustworthy Brands” by China Foundation of Consumer
Protection. In the same year, Antaeus Group organized
over 100 outstanding distributors to travel in Thailand
and visit Sriracha Crocodile Farm and Tiger Zoo
invested by Antaeus. |
In 2005, the ETCP products of Antaeus group were
evaluated as “Famous and Bestselling Brands in China”
by Chinese Council of Market and Brand Management
and Chinese Certification Center of Famous Brands.

In 2005, Guangdong Antaeus Group was evaluated as
a “Trustworthy and Demonstrative Enterprise in Chinese
Food Industry” by the Credit Committee of China
Marketing Association. |
In
2006, Guangdong Antaeus Group was listed into the
state “Torch Plan” by the Ministry of Science and
Technology of the PRC. |
