Antaeus has been engaged in the
research and development of marine functional foods
since 1990. Starting from eel breeding, Antaeus has extended
its researches to turtle, crocodile, and pearl. With active
substances extracted from ETCP to enrich and regulate body functions,
Antaeus has developed a series of products that are beneficial
to regulating blood fat and internal secretion, improving memory,
preventing dementia and tumor, enhancing immunity, relieving
fatigue, and beautifying skin.
As an initiator of eel breeding in tidal flat in China, Antaeus
has established the largest eel farm domestically, which was
selected into the national Spark Program in 1992. In Sriracha
Thailand, Antaeus has the largest eel farm in the world, where
over 100,000 eels are bred. Besides, Antaeus has its own turtle
farms and jointly-run pearl farms. All raw materials of Antaeus
are all-natural, unpolluted and sufficiently supplied. Eel also called white eel (or Japanese eel)
belongs to the Anguillidae. Eel is characterized by slim body,
grey-black back, off-white side, white belly, short and round
pectoral fin, as well as dorsal fin, anal fin and tail fin interconnected.
Its lower jaw is more extrusive than its upper jaw. Both the
upper and lower jaws have small teeth, with developed branchial
aperture. Eel surface is rich in slime, with complete side track.
As recorded in the Compendium of Materia Medica, Wonderful Drugs
Available, and the Summary of Folk Medicines, eel is highly
restorative and widely applied to treating diseases and dispelling
toxins. In traditional Chinese medicine, eel is often used to
treat tuberculosis. Recognized as “ginseng in the water”, eel
is high in essential amino acids, protein, vitamin A, B and
E, Ca, Fe and UFA that can’t be synthesized in human body. As
for children, women, the middle-aged and the elderly, regular
consumption of eel will help them preserve health and postpone
aging. Turtle
(scientific name: Trionyx sinensis) called soft-shelled turtle
is a kind of oviparous and amphibian reptile. The head of turtle
is like that of tortoise, but its tergum has no stripes like
those in the tortoise. Turtle is characterized by soft, skirt-like,
and greenish black edges. Turtle meat is famous for delicious
taste, high protein, low fat, and rich in Ca, Fe, animal gum,
keratin, and vitamins. The nutritive value of turtle meat is
recognized worldwide. “Turtle Bacon Belly” (a Chinese dish)
means that turtle meat has a mixed taste and nutrients of beef,
mutton, pork, chicken and fish. Since ancient times, turtle
meat has been considered as a delicious nutriment. Besides,
the medical value of turtle is extremely high. Its head, shell,
bone, meat, egg, gallbladder and fat can be used as medicine.
Among others, turtle shell helps nourish the vital essence,
invigorate the yang, expel stagnation, and calm the liver, while
treating cough, night sweat, kidney deficiency, and amenorrhea.
Turtle gallbladder can treat hypertension. Turtle egg can treat
prolonged diarrhea and dysentery. Turtle blood can treat malnutrition
of children. In the folk, some people use turtle to treat cancer.
In his Compendium of Materia Medica, Li Shizhen a noted pharmacologist
in the Ming Dynasty states that, turtle helps “repair internal
injury caused by overstrain, strengthen the yin and yang”, and
“replenish vital essence, reduce fever, clam the liver and subdue
yang, soften and resolve hard masses”. Modern medical researches
prove so. Moreover, turtle helps relieve fatigue, resist aging,
enhance immunity, and energize the body. Therefore, turtle preparation
is always a popular health product in HK, Taiwan, Japan, and
Southeast Asia. Crocodile and dinosaur are consanguineous.
Characterized by unique physiological functions and powerful
vital force, crocodile is the only amphibian that has been living
on earth for over 230,000,000 years. This is clearly a biological
wonder. Crocodile breathes with its lung, but it can hold its
breath under the water for over 1 hour, which is much longer
than whale, dolphin or seal can! That’s because the hemoglobin-amino
acid chain in crocodile’s muscle is of unique structure. It
makes the oxygen carrying capacity of crocodile’s hemoglobin
over 100 times that of other animal. In crocodile body, there
is a kind of substance that can optimize nucleic acid. The substance
helps energize nucleic acid, enhance body resistance to diseases,
stimulate enzyme and SOD, remove internal waste, and prolong
life up to 150 years old.
Historical data show that, the Chinese
nation began using crocodile since the Xia Dynasty about 4000
years ago. Later in the Shang Dynasty, crocodile meat became
a precious choice in royal banquet. The Compendium of Materia
Medica by Li Shizhen in the Ming Dynasty states that, “crocodile
meat highly beneficial to invigoration” has marked effects in
treating “damp pathogen, evil energy, blemishes, and malignant
boil”. That is to say, crocodile meat helps protect body from
adverse environment, remove speckles, strengthen the body, and
beautify skin.
Scientists discovered that, there is a kind of optimized nucleic
acid (a component of DNA and RNA) in crocodile. This component
helps energize nucleic acid, promote the cracking of tumor cell
by macrophage, lymphocyte, and monocyte. Moreover, it works
to stimulate catalase and SOD in human body, remove free radicals,
and postpone skin aging. This amino acid chain in spheroidal
structure makes the content of hemoglobin in crocodile over
100 times that in other animal. Because of such capacity of
oxygen supply and storage, crocodile is characterized by long
life and powerful vitality.
Modern medical researches prove that, the whole body of crocodile
is valuable. Crocodile meat, bone, shell, and internal organs
are rich in high-grade protein, amino acids, UFA, vitamins,
and microelements essential to human body.
This product is formulated with marine crocodile from Sriracha
Crocodile Farm of Antaeus in Thailand. Thanks to the application
of advanced process engineering, all nutrients and active ingredients
of crocodile are retained. Rich in protein, amino acids, fat,
carbohydrate, vitamins and microelements essential to human
body, this product also contains herbal extract to bring complete
and balanced invigoration.
Pearl is a kind of precious organic gem.
Beginning as an accidental intruder to the shell, pearl is formed
around the essence secreted by the shell to protect itself.
Chinese people have been applying pearl to skincare since ancient
times. The Compendium of Materia Medica by Li Shizhen in the
Ming Dynasty tells that, “Pearl is salty and sweet in taste,
cold and nontoxic. Pearl has a marked effect in relieving palpitation.
Pearl extract helps clarify eyes and remove eye diseases. While
applied to face, pearl powder leaves skin ruddy and healthy.
” Empress Dowager Cixi in the Qing Dynasty was an expert of
skincare. It’s recorded that, she had a eunuch to pulverize
pearls for her in the royal court. She took a spoon of pearl
powder orally every other seventh day all the year round. At
other times, she would mix pearl powder with perfumed essence
and apply to face. No wonder her skin was still refined, exquisite
and young-looking when she was seventy-year-old. Foreigners
also know the beautifying benefits of pearl. In the capital
Cleopatra of ancient Egypt, it is recorded that, “to beautify
their body, those gentlewomen would mix pearl powder with milk
and apply to their body before sleep.”
